Bedside Carnations

I forgot to post my bedside carnations yesterday with my other weekend flowers! I went to Woolworths on Friday afternoon to collect a few bunches of their inexpensive roses but they had inexpensive carnations instead. I'm not usually a huge fan of carnations but have to admit I have been enjoying their pretty ruffling petals on my bedside table these past few days....

I think carnations are given a bad rap... they are beautiful if displayed simply, on their own, and in one colour... I love all the beautiful shades they come in... especially the two tone colours... perfect! Lx

Anna,

I absolutely love your bedside table! I'm in the process of trying to find fabric for my headboard in a similar color pallet. If you have any suggestions I would love to hear them! :)

Carnations or not, it's all about that terrific color!

They always make me re-live Manon des Sources, but I still love their clean, peppery smell.

Hey Anna, love it and they are never first choice but when grouped together they are always fabulous! Love the hot pink ones! Plus they last for ages - great value!

I'm a huge fan of carnations if done right, which you have here. I also love to get all white and take off all the leaves to make a huge puff ball arrangement.

A perfect match with the pinky Vogue cover underneath. Plus, that blue side table is such a gem!

I can't believe you have a woolworths! They got rid of all of ours!

I use to overlook carnations. But recently discovered my love for them! People use them as flower filler, but I really do think they stand on their own. Very pretty display. ;)

I'm not usually a fan either but these are gorgeous! They also seem to last longer than roses. I also love them with the inlaid table!
