One Day

One day, I have vowed and declared to my husband and our son, we will have a house which we will paint pale pink with white trim, black gloss front door and black and white stripe awnings. Call me mad but I would just adore a pink house. I loved this house which was featured in a new favourite book - Rooms to Inspire in the Country by Annie Kelly. It seems to tick all my boxes except our house would definitely be smaller.

Isn't there a pink house with a white trim on the Brisbane river? It looks like that house :)

I grew up in a two story pale pink house with terracotta tiles (in Melbourne) everyone laughed at my mother when she painted it but it was completely magical. Love the colour love the idea! xox

So gorgeous and I love the idea of the black door. I think I want a house like this too. You do find the loveliest pictures and have the best decorating ideas and that is why you are still my fav blog!
Have a lovely day!!!

If I call you mad I would have to call my mother mad as well because I grew up in a beautiful pale pink house. This one is fabulous.

I lived in a pale pink stucco house in Los Angeles until I was 5 and we moved to Florida. I remember the color and a lot of other magical things about that house. I tell my parents we should have kept it because now that's one of the most expensive areas in LA!

I just got this book and love it....I plan on doing a post on my blog using some of their images as well .Pink and magenta are my favourite colors so this is right up my alley! I would prefer it in your setting (ie. Australia) rather than where I am in the Northeast USA. Now that's a dream!

I love this, and I'm totally with you. I had a pink bedroom one time and it was like waking up inside a seashell, and I loved it. I think a pink house might just be a bigger and better version of that.

There is a house being built near us that is almost exactly like this - we have been scoffing, but the house in the photo is fabulous. I can see now what they are trying to achieve. I just hope the owners can bring it off - the harsh Australian bush around it is going to make that a little difficult.

this house is bananas! i love it! i wanted to paint our antique new england greek revival pale pink with white trim with black glossy shutters and a black glossy door just like you, but my husband put his foot down and said no. so it's grey, with white trim and black shutters, however the front door is benjamin moore's razzle dazzle pink! people always comment how happy it makes them when they drive past it.
