Straddie

Well it was a lovely weekend at Straddie. The weather was beautiful even though it was cold. We had a great lunch yesterday with our friends and my mum and dad on the back verandah. I thought I'd share some new photos of the house with you. Please email me anna@blackandspiro.com.au if you are interested in renting the house for a holiday and I can send you some information.

I LOVE your beach house. I've been meaning to ask who was the artist who did the painting of the boy and the fish? - reminds me a tiny bit of Margie Sheppard's work, although a lot bolder in colour.
My mother's family is from queensland and until recently had a place at Straddie - fabulous! x

The house is beautiful! I really love the dining table, among other things. I've only been to Straddie once, and it was torrential rain for 3 days. Would love to go back because it's such a beautiful place.

Thanks for you kind comments! For all who asked the artist who painted the blue boy/fish painting is Brisbane-based artist Claire Stenning and the Frangipani bowl painting is by another Brisbane-based artist, Lisa Harris.

Oh, I'd love to. We could do a house swap for the holidays, if you are willing to travel to Greece!

Gee...it's a refreshing place. I love the art on the bottom half of the first photo (I cannot tell if it's in the form of books magazines or it sort of looks like gallery wrapped canvas)...? The boy with the fish is too special to even have to mention.Your blue and white chest is a great focal point and has a lot of artistic flare. I could go on and on, but no need. Gorgeous!
