Friendship

"Don't walk behind me; I may not lead. Don't walk in front of me; I may not follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend." - Albert Camus

This is one of my favourite quotes by Albert Camus. Friendship, to me, is one of the most important things in life. I can count my dearest friends all on one hand. I don't need lots of friends. I just need the few very special ones I do have. Thank you my nearest and dearest for your loving friendship. You are all so special to me!

XO
Anna

I count myself lucky to know you Anna. You are indeed a special person in my life and like you I can count those I let into my circle on one hand. With you I feel instantly comfortable and at ease, even after not seeing each other for weeks. Your family is so wonderful and makes me feel like I am at home again.
I am so glad I met you Anna and the rest of your very special family.

Hi Ash, glad you like the quote too!! You are so lucky to have 3 sisters. I have two brothers and all my cousins were boys so I always relied on my girlfriends!

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but I'm pretty sure that Albert Camus never said anything like that. The quotation is variously attributed online to Camus, a Ute saying, part of a Jewish song, and "ancient wisdom." It's nowhere to be found in any of Camus's texts or journals, and in fact, it's kinda funny that anyone would attribute such a sentiment to a man more famous for novels about existentialism, alienation, and the notion of the Absurd (e.g., The Stranger, The Plague). I encourage you and your readers, though, to check out some of Camus's actual writing.

Hi Anon, thank you for bringing this to my attention. I only found this quote a few months ago on quoteland so I just attributed it to Albert Camus because they did. Thank you for comment and I will investigate it further.
